A hunting accident left Si Robertson, Duck Dynasty’s “Uncle Si,” in pain and prompted a hospital visit, as revealed by his co-hosts on the “Duck Call Room” podcast.
In the January 23 episode of the “Duck Call Room” podcast, co-hosts Phillip McMillan and Justin Martin recounted the alarming details of the incident. Robertson, who usually joins the discussions, was notably absent as his fellow hosts shared updates on his condition and recovery. John Godwin and John-David also joined the conversation.

Martin explained that the accident happened as the group returned to the boat house during a hunting trip. He suggested that Robertson might have been cold after the ride.
Describing Robertson’s next actions, Martin said, “Anyway, typical Silas Robertson, in a big dang hurry to get out of the boat and into the Polaris… he fell trying to get out of the boat. Just on the bank there.”
Martin added that the steep incline and muddy conditions made the spot especially treacherous. “If you don’t go off the nose of the boat like the very nose, you will fall. I know this because I have fallen right there,” he explained.

Despite the tumble, Martin noted that Robertson quickly got back on his feet after the fall, likely trying to avoid drawing attention to it. However, being covered in mud made it obvious to everyone that he had fallen. When asked if he was okay, Robertson repeatedly assured them, saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m fine. Yep, no problem, yeah.”
Despite Robertson’s reassurances, his condition later worsened, leading to a hospital visit. McMillan described the scene, noting the quiet atmosphere in Robertson’s room as he sat alone.
When McMillan asked what was going on, he expected Robertson to joke or laugh but instead heard, “Man, I’m in a lot of pain.” Robertson explained that he had fallen while duck hunting and thought he might have broken some ribs, though McMillan observed that Si often assumes the worst.
Robertson also mentioned that his oxygen levels were low and that he needed X-rays.

When the doctor mentioned offering Robertson pain medication, McMillan laughed, explaining that when Robertson says “no” to something like that, he really means “yes.” He advised the doctor to give Robertson the medication so they could move things along.
Ultimately, while Robertson initially downplayed the fall, his condition required a hospital visit, highlighting the unexpected risks of routine hunting trips.
